 Bringing in the stone!

With most of the fabric in place, workers began moving the first layer of stone onto the field. This swath across the field was being put in place for one major reason ...

... to allow a cement mixer to reach the base for the football goalposts at the eastern end of the stadium.

The limestone base was carefully smoothed out using the aid of laser guidance.

Meanwhile, more nailer boards were being affixed, this time along the long jump runway.

Fabric was also being put down in the "D end" at the east end of the Stadium.

The goalpost base at the west end of the field was also awaiting concrete. The hole augered out to about six feet deep.
