MAY 29, 2008  Keeping on track!
Workers used a pair of front loaders to peel off the old rubber track surface. The loaders then dropped the dusty, dirty mess into a waiting dump truck for removal. Work on removing the rubber track surface was expected to be completed by mid-afternoon. Eventually, repairs will be made to the asphalt base, and another layer added to it, before the new track surface is installed. That will be done after the artificial turf surface is installed. Workers filled the dump truck as quickly as possible. |
