 Excavation at an end!

Most of the dirt removal is complete. Some dryer weather allowed work crews to bring the dump trucks onto the field so the excess dirt could be hauled away.

The dirt doesn't go far. Here one truck adds to the dump area at the northwest corner of the stadium, just behind where the visiting marching band usually sits.

A bulldozer operator grooms the dumping area, while another dump truck load is put in position to add more.

Let's just say that while the dryer weather has sped up excavation, things do get a little dusty!

The path the trucks take to and from the field needs to be shored up every once in awhile.

A worker works to set the guidance system (above and below) that helps the excavators know how deep they have to go.

A wider view of a now barren field as excavators near the end of their work.
